Cannabis is a psychoactive angiosperm native to Asia which has been cultivated and used recreationally and industrially all over the world. Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, more commonly referred to as THC, is the primary intoxicating chemical in cannabis flowers. Currently the plant is considered an illegal substance in most countries yet still millions of users burn the herb frequently to inhale the resulting mind expanding smoke.

Countless studies indicate that cannabis has a myriad of medicinal benefits and is also far less prone to abuse and less dangerous than legal drugs like alcohol, tobacco and prescription medications. Advocacy for reform of cannabis related legislation has grown exponentially in recent years, and indeed a rethinking of the whole war on drugs is proposed by many prominent politicians and intellectuals.

May 5th marks the annual Global Marijuana March, and to celebrate of this, a selection of cannabis related music was smashed together just for your ears.
