The '70s are a much maligned period in music, and frankly, if all I heard of the '70s were the big hits, I might agree with that assesment myself. But the truth is, there was plenty of good music coming out of the '60s into the '70s - and the music of the '70s was giving birth to the music of the '80s and beyond.
