This show features 45s from the Chess label. Not the usual fare, but tracks from an era when some of the critics and "experts" claim that Chess Records was in decline and lacking quality in it's output. True they had to lease product in, but this show plays tracks that blows apart that myth. What wonderful diversity there was in the later years of Chess Records from 1968 -1975 - funk, soul and crossover gems galore. Have a listen as we go through 41 tracks and provide commentary on many of the artists and their careers.
