In late 2011 we launched a digital activation with Studio Canal to promote the release of cult film Attack the Block on Blu-ray and DVD.
We teamed the studio up with credible music brands, BassLaced, GetDarker, and Juno DJ, to offer the UK's bedroom DJs the chances of playing a set a set at 'BassLaced Gets Darker' alongside the likes of Joker and Toddla T. Broadcast live across the globe via GetDarkerTV, the winner also took home £500 worth of DJ equipment courtesy of Juno.
To raise awareness of Channel 4's coverage of the 2011 Athletics World Championships we put together a very special campaign that harnessed the creative drive of Mixcloud's uploaders.
The Channel 4 Athletics Soundtrack competition asked music enthusiasts, DJs and athletics fans to put together an 8-track Playlist that they thought best soundtracked athletic superstars Usain Bolt, Jeremy Wariner, David Rudisha, Phillips Idowu, Mo Farah, and Jodie Williams. The creator of the winning playlist was given the opportunity to work as Channel 4’s music director for 2011 World Athletics Championship.
