My first drum'n'bass 12" back in 1998 was 'Funktion' by two guys who would from then on supply a constant stream of top quality tracks right into my record collection. Every release by Ed Rush & Optical was well produced and had a sort of positive energy I still cannot describe fully but I loved it! After some years their style evolved into something I didn't quite feel and interest in the new releases started to fade. Still being a fan of the 'old' sound I decided to make a tribute mix honouring the earlier work.
