So then, Summer 2011. What have we learned? What can we take from it? What will we remember? I can only speak for myself, but as expected, it was awkward, uneventful for the most part, and weird. It was very uncharted territory for me and a lot of people I know.
But one think I do know is that this summer I became friends with some people I never knew I'd be friends with. I have hated some people I never thought I'd hate. I've seen some things I never thought I'd see. I've created some things I never knew I had the capacity to create. I did some things I never thought I'd do. I've gone to some places I never thought I'd go. I am changing, and so are you.I was 15 when I started making summer mixes. I'm 22 now. that's 7 years for all you math whizzes like me. I think I said for about 3 years straight that "this was my last one" and "I'm too old for this" and other stupid excuses. But I always end up doing one. Not for me, but for you. But this year, I did it for me.
