As the leading man and lyricist of the now-defunct cult band LCD Soundsystem and the creative mastermind behind the seminal DFA label, James Murphy almost singlehandedly revived the spirit of Manhattan's Downtown scene in the noughties and created a monster now known as 'indie dance'. An ardent purveyor of disco gems and classic house, he is also an excellent DJ, as this exclusive mix (recorded live at the Red Bull Music Academy's latest Boiler Room takeover) will testify to.
