Phly
Phly is a well known figure in the Hamburg electronic music scene. He has been building his reputation for years as a DJ with residencies at Phonodrome, Lounge, Kurhotel and Purgatory and regular gigs at Hamburg's finest club Baalsaal that has led to guest slots all over Germany as well as slots in Ibiza, Moscow, St.Petersburg or RaveOnSnow.
His shows present his fresh and edgy DJ sets almost once a month.
In 2006 Phly has turned his hand to production with notable success. His first release as one half of Mars Fellows with partner Sebo came out on Out of Orbit Records.
Setting up a label seemed like an obvious progression for Phly's keen A+R ear and so Kompass Musik was born. It's first release out early 2007 was from Extrawelt, followed by releases from Pelle Buys, Remute, Philipp Wolgast and Antilopè & Tigerskin. At the moment Kompass Musik is inactiv.
