This week I've have in my possession a fabulous promo copy of the new Spiritual Jazz Vol 2 - Europe, about to be released on Monday 6th February on Jazzman Records.
The album is an incredible mix of European Jazz from the 60's & 70's featuring tracks which have never before been reissued – previously only available on rare LP’s that change hands for hundreds of dollars.
I'm also featuring a new band with a new album, The Unity Sextet. The band only formed in spring of 2011 whilst playing at different jazz festivals in different bands with different genres ranging from traditional to experimental jazz.
Then I finish the show with Japanese avant jazz band Sleep Walker and their track The Voyage - featuring my hero Pharoah Sanders.
