Back to more familiar ground after last months excursion into new wave / underground disco.

We have eight fantastic female soul singers here for you. We Kick of with a Shirley Brown track from here classic 1974 Stax LP 'Woman, Woman'. Along the way we have tracks from Doris Troy, Merry Clayton and Denise LaSalle. Etta Jones is a new one on me. I took a punt on her 1975 Westbound LP a few months back as it also features a cover of Bill Withers 'Gran'ma's Hands'. Well worth picking up if you see it.
