Just a short one, actually it's the first half of a compilation that has Olden Goldies as part two.Portuguese Love is just one of those up tunes, sunshine all the way.Mark 7 is a brilliant DJ but production-wise he's no slouch, his recent 12 had some really nice variety and this is one of the more downtempo cuts.The Brothers of Soul was another £1 job, whatever happened to Guidance?Booker and TBD can probably be lumped into that New York 'nu' disco type stuff.Not really house, not really techno...not really bothered. Just great journey tunes. A less known Wang track maybe from a 12 on Environ, less punchy than the early Balihu, but no worse for it.This one is a rip off from DJ History, cheers Neville Watson!Maybe more 60s/70s soul legends should get a house makeover.Dionne with MAW,Aretha with Quentin Harris...Another old 12 by Prins Thomas I missed first time round. Still sounds alright to me! Enjoy.
