Born in Beirut-Lebanon to a family of music lovers, Omar Rayes was always exposed to the world of music. While being mainly interested in the rock scene, he was always open to any kind of music that would catch his attention. His musical style drifted from rock and metal to hip-hop and rap to finally house and dance music.

Omar was introduced to the world of djing and underground house after moving to Montreal, Canada. Having started by collecting and mixing progressive house, he currently fuses dark uplifting tech-house and techno rhythms with soulful melodies reminiscent of house. The key to o-ray’s sound is a swift mix of changing melodies and subtle chord changes. He likes to play a mixture of all styles which he believes is a style in itself.
