Music People Vol 1. – A Selection of Sounds from the Dancefloor
The first edition of Music People took place on Friday, June 17th in Seville. The night was pure magic, with an enthusiastic crowd and several bags of great records encompassing everything from jazz and soul to disco, house, and broken beat. We weren’t able to record, unfortunately, but I this is my attempt to recreate the energy and flow of the evening. I played all of these records at the party in roughly the same order--but I also played many others in between, so the evolution was actually much more gradual. The idea was to capture the trajectory of an entire evening in a CD-length mix.
