I recorded this about ten days ago to play at a party we threw to celebrate the birth of our daughter Blanca. As of now, the only people to have heard this mix were those in attendance.
I wasn't able to work in any songs from the album pictured (nice cover, awful music); I did, however, include a bunch of Blue Note stuff, some very nice Japanese imports, a handful of Jose James collaborations, a Carlos Nino J-Dilla cover, and lots of love. I don't think Blanca will mind if I share her mix with the Mixcloud community on its one-year birthday. The site became--within a few months of its launch--my principal spot for listening to and sharing mixes, and I expect great things from the site and the people who upload here in the years to come.
