From the thundering 808s to the mass squelch madness of the famous TB 303 Bassline that Nathan "DJ Pierre" Jones fiddled with, this is the sound from Chicago all around that a drug induced Ron Hardy played to the kids of the Muzic Box 4 times. This is ACID!
Acid house barely exists here in Auckland today and no one from NZ can remotely think of any Acid tunes off the top of their heads, in fact Google the word acid house and choose 'Pages from New Zealand', it barely registers. Apparently this is the first ever NZ acid house mix in many years and surely this genre of music was played out at the clubs here in Auckland back in the day. The sound itself is still used as many folks collect Roland TB303s on Ebay and you can get plug ins too. NFMX wanted to pay a homage to the forefathers of Acid and give you first timers a taste of the antiquated genre that should be back for a revival!
