Mycrotom - combining the measurement unit for minute particles with his own first name - is Simonetti..s first solo outing: "Usually I am busy with organising the Beatznbytez Foundation I co-founded or acting as drummer, electronic musician or producer for other projects. "In Mycrotom..s minimalist music carefully accentuated elements enrich a sparse, hypnotic groove, at times reminiscent of seminal electronic pioneer Bomb the Bass. "Most of my songs come out of spontaneous sessions in the studio. And then... reduce to the max!".

Meanwhile, mycrotom is still running the comunity mongkong. He performes as DJ and Musican (especially CC Net label Sets) and co-operates with his friend leroy schlimm as drummer in their Band rhytm police.
