DJ Statik aka Mr. Sonny James is well versed in music and hip hop culture as a writer, DJ, producer, videographer, and actor. Most known for his role as co-founder of Philadelphia’s most prolific and well-respected DJ/Production crew, Illvibe Collective he has maintained a solid following in the Philadelphia, Tri State Area. He is the official tour DJ for legendary MC Bahamadia and other international hip-hop artists, including Hezekiah, Shape of Broad Minds, and Mr. Lif. Famously noted as “your DJ’s favorite DJ,” Statik’s sets have regularly hit popular New York venues such as Santos Party House, Sutra, SOBs and APT. He is an annual staple at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX and at Miami’s Winter Music Conference on South Beach.
