Part 2 of the Series on Garage Music. Now, this mix explores the mainstreaming of Garage in the UK. In the mid 90's, Garage House & Speed garage got very popular in the UK with tunes reaching dance charts, nightclubs and the backdoors of raves.

As a result, the British got their own take on Garage, called UK Garage. Using the same techniques of Speed Garage but with influences from the popular Drum and Bass sound and the rise of UK RnB, UK garage became a popular which created the likes of the Artful Dodger and Craig David. Later, 2-step came, being a more "darker" form of Garage with Jazz and Hip-Hop influences led by producers like MJ Cole and Club Asylum. 2-step soon became the basis for Grime and garage, which i'll cover in the next mix of the series.
