My name is Mike Newman and I'm from Los Angeles, CA, USA

I'm a firm believer in playing a quality opening set; setting the mood and getting the crowd excited, while still leaving room for the headliners to bring things up is extremely important.

Since this mix is only 30 minutes long, I started out deep, but not too chill, as this is for WMC and everyone is ready to party! I quickly brought things up the way I would opening up for the Axtone parties, with some groovy and techy house, before bringing things down just a bit at the end. All of the tracks are relatively new, but I included a few older, familiar vocals to get the crowd into it.
