Guitar Jones is a name that I use that I got from the Cheech y Chong collection (Basketball Jones) and I use it for an Artist name to imply virtuosity. I was born in NYC, NY on November 26, 1957. My first home was near Harlem and about 50ft. from the Hudson Bay. My parents split up and I had learning difficulties because they arranged for me to receive brain surgery in 1962. Our next home was at 1835 Wasatch Dr. in SLC, UT. It was a duplex across the street from Joe Perry and his family. I first tried to join the school band in 4th Grade when I rented a clarinet. The teacher wouldn't accept and I couldn't identify any reasons that the school would do this at that time. I couldn't recall the surgery and didn't see any reason for me to be inferior. This happened to my swim racing experience at the Fort Douglas Country Club, also. My parent had an, "Honorary Membership" to the club in about '66 and the swim coach there, Tom Thorum, couldn't stop picking on me because I was too slow.
