Candlelight contact dance on 6/18/12 at the Austin Yoga School. I was at the Summer Solstice in New Mexico so this was the first time I've created a dance that I wasn't there to play for folks.
The intention was: In these last couple weeks of dance, we have been connecting with our ease-finding the place in our bodies that we want to go. Dancing with what is real for us in our body. Tonight, I'd like to invite you to connect with the things and places that you find yourself longing for-the part of us that connects with that which is not present for us. I'd like to invite you to dance with the external-with your longing and bring those things that are outside you into your body. Bring what you are without - within.
