This is an odd mix. All the music in this mix has been stretched or slow down so much as to be unrecognizable. There is a great little program called Paul Stretch which can dramatically slow down a piece of music but still keep it very musical. You can find it here... http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/
The tracks here have all been slowed down by at least 10x to 15x. The results are nice long ambient drones, perfect for meditation, sleeping, or daydreaming.

I am listening on an android phone. Maybe i should refresh the Mixcloud app.
Wow, well that explains everything, when you realize that the cuts were "stretched". You meant that literally. I kind of knew something was different, espeically the TD track and also 6 Marimbas, which i recall being performed at a propulsive tempo. Thx for taking the time to explain.
Jp, how are you listening to these mixes? On a phone app or desktop in a browser? I ask because they all have description which sometimes explains the theme or process. In this case the descriptions talks about the tracks being slowed down. However it is that you're listening to the mixes, check for the description, it may help with background info on the mix and sometimes a tracklist. Thanks for continuing to plow through theses sets. Cheers!

Nice to hear a quiet song by Tangerine Dream but all the tangram cuts I'm familiar with a loud, driving, sequencer tracks. Where did you find this lovely cut? Very nice, and not a typical TD cut.
Jp, All the tracks in this, including Tangram, have been slowed down by at least 1000%. I'm not exactly sure what part of Tangram I used for this slowed down, stretched out experiment but I believe it is the first track right off the top. Certain tracks worked very well when slowed down this dramatically and others just turned to mush. The cuts used in this mix sound like their own new pieces of music. Cheers!
I find the pieces all flow together. It's harder to see one as distinct from another. What all of them together evoke for me is being alone out among the stars with this ethereal music playing as it goes. Thanks for putting this together. These are really their own new pieces--kind of the way hip-hop uses sampling to inject new life into phrases and fragments.
Muy buena para dormir
Exactly the music I need to concentrate deeply. One of the best playlists I've ever found for that purpose. Thanks!!!
