Since 2004 Alexander Mathys, aka Lazy Ninja, has been one of the Shuswaps premier DJs, holding long term residencies at some of the regions hottest night clubs. Playing four or five nights a week, 52 weeks a year, kept him close to home but still afforded him the opportunity to play with such artists as Swollen Members, Classified, DL Incognito, WC and DJ Crazy Toones, DJ Switch, and Michael Brat as well as a host of other, very talented DJs from all across the globe. Over the years, because of an adventurous taste in music, the name Lazy Ninja has become synonymous with many musical genres and styles of DJing. His latest reincarnation, which he debuted at the 2012 Sunset Festival, is an upbeat, funky mix of tech house and breaks.
