(click link) San Francisco is known the world over for its funky disco scene, and no DJ is more synonymous with SF funky house than Jonny Phelps aka DJ Jonene aka Jonny Kaboom. As an artist, promoter, and pro- ducer, Jonny has played a key role in the development of one of the deepest, most soulful house music scenes in the world. He is re- sponsible for the formation of seminal house-music label, Panhandle Records and was a long-time mainstay and resident at the party that defines house music in SF, STOMPY. In 2001 Jonny helped take the party digital by co-founding STOMPY.com – an online music down- load site designed by and created for DJs. As well as being sponsored by ESDJCO (esdjco.com) for nearly 15 years, Jonny has held monthly residencies in major cities around the country and world that include San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, New York, Dallas, Austin, Belgium & England.
