Immanuel grew up surrounded by music from artists and composers like Erik Satie, The Beatles, Beethoven, BB King, and Gregorian. This encouraged him to pick up any instrument he liked, like the accordion. During high-school, he wrote and directed several plays. He also initiated, organized and played a role in musical events. He spent his time playing drums and the keyboard. Immanuel studied the histories of theatre, movies, and dance in Utrecht. Since 2009 he started to compose songs, using Reason, Ableton and Traktor. After finishing studying art-history, composing became his main focus.
His music sounds like techno, but Immanuel doesn’t like to label his music. His songs are generally created conceptually. Any topic, idea or feeling could be the inspiration to create meaningful songs. Immanuel wants to take the listener on a trip through the land of emotions, as he creates songs that will enter the soul en leave something behind.
