Like many of his generation, the fresh dance beats of MTV’s predecessor; the Music Box, laid firm foundations for a wider knowledge to be built upon. Music from dance and hip-hop artists like Neneh Cherry, De la Soul or Sagat soon led to digging for early house beats from Lil Louis, Virgo and Frankie Knuckles. In 2003 a move to London snared him a job at Phonica records in Soho. Here he gained an appreciation of the textures of Mahogani Music and Detroit Techno, adding the deep fundamentals to his palette. Soon after Jaime started playing for different local promoters like a.o.m.f, mulletover or back to basics.Now spending his time working and living between Ibiza and Berlin, Jaime continues to consistently unravel sets that span earthy transatatlantic heat to polished European underground house & techno.
