On the sixth of April 2011, the Overseas Development Institute hosted a public seminar to launch a new IDS Bulletin, 'Working with the Grain? Rethinking African Governance'.
The IDS Bulletin was edited by Richard Crook from the Institute of Development Studies and David Booth from the Africa Power and Politics Programme at the Overseas Development Institute.

The presentation was followed by a very lively discussion chaired by Baroness Margaret Jay. Afterwards some of the participants were interviewed.
