Producer and DJ Chris Cowie's, BBC nominated Essential Mix of the year. The mix was recorded using turntables and vinyl so its to be expected to hear the occasional crackle inherent with vinyl. This is part 1 of 2.
Chris Cowie is the founder of Hook Recordings and Bellboy Records which became a successful and Influential indie dance label. After battling aliens for five years the labels were relaunched in Sept 2008 reintroducing some of the back catalogue in the form of four compilations. The labels will begin releasing new material from April 2009. The labels history is littered with many notable achievements which undoubtedly helped shape the global dance scene with its music and the support of just about every major DJ of the day.
