Part four was the second mix dedicated to my friends choices. The track list highlights how varied the collection was and how well Chris did to maintain a coherent structure for me.
Maria Vidal,was selected by my friend Lucy, she gave me this song because her dad used to play this to her and her sisters when they were younger to make them tidy their room quickly. Her dad would hit play and they would have the whole track to tidy their room - when I heard it coming in I felt like I was moving my legs a little bit quicker. Body rock through to Swoon (thanks Howie) was a great moment and when Ke$sha came in I remember feeling great, I still need to do the maths but I’m sure it was around Mile 16 – my quickest split. I was thinking of Jen guiltily playing me this and telling me it was her track when we were at an afterparty. Such a happy moment! This was rounded off with Adele rolling in the deep courtesy of Alison. Happy times.
