Brownrice Collective is a mixed-media crew formed in 2007 by veteran musician/artist Dan Cooper, and veteran designer/DJ Foday Kargbo in Washington, DC. We do design, filmmaking, photography... but we also wanted to share the amazing music that reflects our artistic makeup - gleaned from our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters from all over this beautiful world. After holding DJ residencies at the legendary 18th St. Lounge, Science Club and Marvin, Foday has moved to the great city of Tel Aviv to explore and contribute, while Dan Cooper continues to hold it down and dirty in Chocolate City.
