I made this mix in honor of my ten-year anniversary of being retired from being a DJ. Even though I hardly ever go to clubs anymore, have abandoned being a musician to be a visual artist, and mostly listen to jazz and metal, I wanted to offer a brief peak in to the dark, strange electronic corners of my library of music and combine them with a couple older gems to make a mix to exercise your mind as much as shake your ass. It was a really fun process learning the new digital tools for creating mixes, especially because when I was playing clubs and parties I only spun on vinyl. Massive props to Callie, Mixmaster Massey, DJ Softcore and SQ for encouraging me to do this!
