2010 has been quite an eventful year for Effen. His remix of DJ Preach's "Spark" was officially released on Marco V's In Charge Records, receiving major support from Sander Van Doorn and Marcel Woods for their 2010 Trance Energy sets. Armada’s Myon & Shane 54 made it their “Track Of the Moment” on their International Departures podcast, before declaring him as “Singapore’s best kept secret.”

Strengthening his profile as a remixer, Effen was then approached by British rockers Kyte, requesting for his interpretation of their single “Designed For Damage.” Effen twisted the ambient masterpiece into a dance floor smasher that received rave reviews from indie music sites and support from Martin Roth and MaRLo.
