Original founder of UPfront since 2001, he started in the Dub Roots music in the early 90′s in Geneva’s famous squat le Goulet. After a trip in ’93 in London, seeing there Jah Shaka Sound System for the first time, somehow something had changed. Back home with memories, inspirations and vibrations, he started playing Roots & Culture Dubwise music alongside Lionpaw & Ikwa and also many other local dub activists. In 1998 the launching of Cultural Warriors Sound System, with Lionpaw (manager/selector/mc), Ikwa (sound builder) and Dub Soljah (operator).
Besides, the UPfront Studio was opened with the goal of having a personal recording & mixing unit with the good quality and required setup in order to gain independence in the working process, as much as possible.
Some of this material has been recorded since 2008. Now is the time for the first material to reach the market in 2012, so stay tuned to www.upfront.ch for all infos & news. One Love !
