So we saw Dilla out here for the last time out in December of 2005. It was truly a heart moving experience seeing Dilla come out and rock the mic in his condition. Till that point I had no clue his illness had struck him so heavily. After the legendary show me and my homey Mouse aka "Thats that" decided to pull out some dilla records and lots of originals out of our collection and started working on this tape. The tape was supposed to be for Dilla as a thank you to wish him well and a fast recovery. We wanted to send it over. It took about 4 nights to record along with a couple of long digging listening sessions. I mean we listened to his stuff daily for years anyway so it was a natural proces. We pulled out about 100-200 originals in January and February... used about 40 for this tape... anyway the day after we finished it we all got the tragic news about Dilla. My man Presto convinced me to throw it online that same day, we just edited the intro a little... RIP DillaDogg! All Vinyl!
