DJ SIR AIVA is the founder of the Drum’n’Bass scene in Faro and one of the most talked about DJs in the Algarve underground nightlife.
Born in Lisbon and living in the Algarve since 2002, switched from being a drummer in rock bands into playing as a DJ in 2003.
SIR AIVA's music is influenced by a background in surf/skate/snowboard and many long journeys throughout the Globe. It shows a surprising variety in style, from downtempo to breakbeat, as well as within Drum’n’Bass - the genre where SIR AIVA has built his reputation.
Since 2005 DJ SIR AIVA has been active in the radio promotion of bassline music, thru radio shows on RUA FM 102.7 (Rádio Universitária do Algarve) and Radio Fragola (Italy), or airing on RuFF FM (Germany) and Radio Oxigenio (Portugal).
DJ SIR AIVA set dancefloors on fire not only nationwide, but also internationally alongside DJs such as Spectrasoul (UK), Anile (UK) or TREi (NZ).
