FROOTY first discovered Rave / Hardcore music way back in 1989, after listening to the sounds of Acid House at the age of 11.
The tunes of artists such as, 808 State with the track 'Pacific State' & A Guy Called Gerald with the track 'Voodoo Ray', got Him into the early rave sound. He has since followed the evolution of Hardcore / Rave music, through the break beat sound of 1992, to the kick drum led Four Beat / Happy Techno of 1995, the vocal heavy 'Happy' Hardcore' sound of 1996/1997, right up to the upfront trancey sound of Hardcore played today.
In mid 1995, after listening to the mix tapes of DJ's such as Vinylgroover, Brisk, Vibes & Hixxy, He became more interested in how the music was mixed together and decided it was something He'd like to try himself. He got his first pair of decks in 1996 & taught himself how to mix, playing out at free parties. In June 1999 He got a set for a local weekly Hardcore promotion called SPUNKY at the JAILHOUSE NIGHTCLUB HEREFORD.
