We are very happy to have received an exclusive mix for Diskotopia from Tokyo based, fresh DJ talent Mike Sunda.
Unlike most of the younger generation of DJs based in Tokyo (be them ex-pat or Japanese natives), who choose only to play hayari chart-busters, hoping this will guarantee them an easier path in the scene, 22 year-old Mike has demonstrated a good ear for brand new international music, and has a passion to introduce this music to the city.
Formerly based in East London, where he worked with the team behind annual music festival Stag & Dagger, as well as running his own clubnight Playdoh across various venues around Shoreditch, his London roots come through strongly in his DJ sets, and you can expect to hear a blend of the latest UK funky, bass music & tech house. Mike will release his debut Mix CD “Synecdoche E1” later this month (December 2010).
