UK house music royalty doesn’t come any bigger than legendary DJ wizards and producers X-Press 2. Formerly a trio – who thrived within the acid house explosion of the early nineties, playing at Shoom, Spectrum and leading the charge to Balearic Ibiza – Diesel, Rocky and then-member Ashely Beedle released tune after tune, notably striking a chord with the huge numbers Muzik Express and recently, Lazy with David Byrne of Talking Heads. Now the duo have released their latest album, The House of X-Press 2, which expertly covers all forms and sounds of house music, running parallels to their early hedonistic days where anything and everything was allowed. For their DT mix, X-Press 2 show off their famous mixing skills, while keeping the selection current, exciting and well informed of today’s big players.
