DJ Zinc’s rebirth as a “crack house” producer and DJ was a remarkable and very successful transformation, and his decision to eschew drum & bass after many years of being a scene-leader was both brave and in retrospect, very wise. His track with the rejuvenated Ms.Dynamite, Wile Out, has been one of the year’s biggest in the wide realm of UK bass music, seeing him fuse elements of grime and dubstep with his own unique, warped take on British house music, and lest we forgot he was one of the first producers in the country to cross garage with other flavours back in the early 2000s. Oh, and there was that little Fugees bootleg a while ago, amongst his other highly notable moments.
This Podcast is a live recording from the sweaty confines of Room 3 at fabric during Rinse & FWD>>’s monumental 16th Birthday celebration back in September of this year, and features many of this year’s biggest bassy anthems, all segued together with his high-impact mixing.
