Although we found it hard to fathom that anyone could be so cheeky as to steal the name of one of the most influential and loved cartoon superheroes of the 1980s, the musical charm of London duo Mighty Mouse soon proved too difficult to resist. Taking the disco revival as their starting point and drafting in a myriad of electro, folk, feel-good house and Italo influences, their lovely aural patchworks have seen them become some of the most in-demand remixers around for those in the know.
Reworkings for the likes of Bent, Gorillaz, Shy Child, Robbie Williams, Roy Davis Jnr. and best of all Ali Love (a superbly euphoric rub of Love Harder) have come in quick and steady succession,plus a few tasty singles and compilations on the way (they’ve even cropped up on Hervé’s Cheap Thrills label).
