Steven aka DJ Darzid started as a DJ on the age of 14, and as such has seen a lot of different styles pass by, like early House, Hardcore, Mellow, Techno and Trance. After the first goa-trance party hevisited in Amsterdam, he got hooked immediatly. In 2002 he did his first Psychedelic DJ set at a Psychedelic party, in Amsterdam. After that, the journey continued with lots of parties in Amsterdam (Trance Mafia, Ruigoord), The Hague (Shut Up&Dance, BabaPower, Kosmic Fusion), Rotterdam (Twisted Extractions), and even some parties in Belgium (Nova's Incident) and Germany.

He became a resident DJ for Shut Up & Dance in 2005, and in 2010 he also became the Music Programmer for Shut Up & Dance. On the dancefloor, he has a reputation for playing kick-ass sets that will make the dancefloor move, with a smooth combination of uplifting tracks, full-on psychedelics and some spacey dark tracks at moments, all blended into one long yourney with his excellent technical mixing skills.
