Moom Bah Bounce
By Culture Cuts
When Reggae music spread the skank to Panama the Rastas and Latinos had some crazy partys. Reggae en Español fused Jamaican Dancehall party vibes with saucy hot Latin Salsa. The sound evolved and made a name for itself as Reggaeton in Puerto Rico.
As eletronic dance music contiued to develop alongside Reggaeton, DJ's & Producers continued to develop the sound by fusing elements from many diffrent styles of dancefloor friendly vibes. The dramatic buildups and deep textures of House music blend pefectly with the "Dem Bow" Reggaeton beat and add futher dimensions of feeling to the music. The sound developed out of slowing down Dutch Style house music to Reggaton Speed (110BMP-ish) and blending the Reaggton percussion with House structure became know as Moombahton. Moombahton also adds two-step pulse, quick drum fills and thick basslines, creating another entirly new sound.
