Rothbury, MI's Electric Forest Festival is located on the one-of-a-kind JJ Ranch, and features attractions such as the Sherwood Forest- a cool lounge by day that lights up at night with art and music, a waterpark, a lake, and, for you, over 25,000 potential new fans. Electric Forest prides itself on its cutting edge production- assembled by Madison House Presents and Insomniac- and its fantastically receptive community.
This year, we would like to invite a new artist onto our stage! Join a lineup that includes Bassnectar, STS9, Thievery Corporation, Girl Talk, Steve Aoki, Richie Hawtin, Wolfgang Gartner, and a lot more.

One talented winner will receive a 30 min set at the event's Forest Stage, 2 VIP Event Passes (valued at $1000), tent lodging onsite, and $500 towards travel.

We are ready to find a new artist with the skills, talent, and vibe that our eventgoers will adore.

How to Enter:

The competition is open to the United States and Canada residents only.

Electric Forest is open to musical styles of all kinds, so long as there is talent behind the noise. Please assemble a mix that reflects your style as an artist, and includes at least ONE ORIGINAL TRACK. Please include a tracklist in the description so we know which tune is yours.

• Upload a mix of no more than 15 minutes on Mixcloud
• Title the mix Electric Forest Mix Match 2012
• Tag your mix Electric Forest Mix Match 2012. If you fail to tag it correctly, your mix may be missed
• Include the competition cover-art, provided here
• Add your tracklist and also include it in the description

Judging:

• Entrants will be judged on factors including (but not limited to) number of plays, favorites, positive feedback, track selection, originality and technical ability.
• Mixes must gain over 100 plays be considered for the shortlist.
• Entrants will be encouraged to show an ability to promote themselves by the tools available through Mixcloud and other social media platforms.
• The Electric Forest team will assess your mixes.
• The final decision will be made by Electric Forest & Mixcloud.

Terms & Conditions

We will not tolerate any spamming behavior on the Mixcloud platform.
DO NOT post dozens of comments asking people to listen to your entry if you’ve not engaged them on the Cloudcasts. DO NOT favorite dozens of other entries that you haven’t listened to just to get their attention. If we spot this behavior your entry to the competition will be VOID.
Prize is non-transferrable and there is no cash alternative. The contract of the winner(s) will be discussed once the competition has closed.
The final decision lies with Electric Forest and Mixcloud.
Entrants must be 18 years or older.
