Instructions
- Create a 40 min mini-mix, representing the tunes and styles you will play, warming up for James What & Dan Berkson as well as a string of house music's finest guest artists performing at the VIVa MUSiC Limited stage.
- Please bear in mind that this is a deep house room, so this is a competition for DJs that love and feel deep house music.
- Name your Cloudcast "Steve LAWLER pres. Harlem Nights Residency Competition"
- Upload it directly to Mixcloud and tag the mix "Harlem Nights DJ Comp" - be sure to tag it correctly, otherwise it won't be listed in the competition.
- Attach the following artwork to your mix - click here to download.
Judging
- You will need to achieve a minimum of 25 favorites on Mixcloud, to be considered a finalist for the competition.
- Qualifying Cloudcasts will be judged by Steve LAWLER and the VIVa MUSiC Team, based on their musical merit, selection and mixing style.
Deadline
- The competition will be closed for submissions on June 13th. Please note that the earlier you submit your entry the higher your chances to make it in the list of finalists so don't wait till the last moment!
- Winners will be announced on June 20th and the Grand Prize winner will get a chance to start his residency immediately at the forthcoming Harlem Nights event @ Crucifix, London on June 24th
Terms and Conditions
No purchase is necessary to enter this competition. Prize is non-transferrable and there is no cash alternative. The final decision lies with VIVa MUSiC.
The winner will receive a performance fee for each show but transport costs are not included in the prize. The winner must arrange their own transport to and from the venue at their expense. VIVa MUSiC reserves the right to withdraw from this competition at any time.
