CoMPACT started his DJ career in one of Berlin´s finest classic black music clubs, the legendary 'Dschungel'. In the early 90´s after the fall of the Berlin Wall and after the club scene expanded into the eastern part of the city, there were several guest appearances at 'Globus Bar'(Tresor), famous rare groove club 'Boogaloo' and finally as a resident DJ in Berlin´s finest acid jazz club the 'Delicious Doughnuts' while also spinning regulary at West Berlin´s subculture bar the 'Fischlabor' in the district of Schöneberg. In the mid 90´s he somehow disappeared from the Berlin music scene and was not seen in his hometown for about 15 years. There is nothing known about those years, except that he came back home in the year 2012; left with a total amnesia, yet with a superior musical mind and an impressive amount of groundbreaking and visionary ideas. He brought back a small gift to his beloved hometown, an independent IDM | electronica label named COMPACTMUSIC.
