A code is born out of the need for communication.
Every signifier comes to represent a perception of the surrounding world.
Sound, sight, smell, touch and taste, are all condensed into signs…into code.
House music is one such code, drawing on experiences and beliefs that have changed the world over the past three decades. A sound started in the underground clubs of 1980’s Chicago, house music has stood the test of time, constantly evolving and morphing, touching new hearts and minds at every step. House music was created to celebrate life, love, positivity and togetherness. For those who have been in the middle of a dancefloor surrounded by a crowd of smiling people, almost able to touch the energy of the vibe, house music has become a way of life, with its own language and meanings; the house music code, our code.
