Jonny Brick is a graduate of a decent university with a decent degree. Realising jobs are scarce, he has tried to take his website, blastocyst.org.uk, to people's ears. Thus does Blastocast exist: a weekly podcast delivered to ocular cavities worldwide on Wednesdays, featuring music, chat, power breakfast, music found in the Man Drawer and the Lady's Handbag, writing from the pen of Mike Will, Pieces of Eighties, film reviews in tandem with book reviews, play reviews, record reviews and gig reviews. A musical interlude will break up the first two and final two parts, and nestled amongst them will be The Heartbreaking Work of Smuggled Genius, whereby a pop song is made great by this chord or that lyric. New bands will play four songs in the Old New Borrowed Blue feature, and a familiar song will have its tuning forked to sound different and yet the same. Tuning in is optional, but it's worth it - you might learn something.
Blastocast - irrigating the gardens of your subconscious.
