Since his entrance onto the electronic music scene in 2009, Asvajit has steadily gained respect as one of the freshest, most thought-provoking DJs and composers in Sri Lanka. Over the years, he has mercilessly rocked dance-floors across the island with his intense, fast paced mixing style and unique blend of playfully funky warm-up grooves, contrasted by devastating peak-time techno bombs. As perhaps Colombo’s sole flag burner for electronic music composition, Asvajit has managed to stay a step-ahead of his counterparts, with cutting-edge sound design straddling the tense rope between micro-house, restrained techno and crocodile-drag funk. Apart from producing razor-sharp tunes and whipping dance-floors into a rabid frenzy, Asvajit is also a professional book designer, founding member of pioneering underground sound-system Bang Bang, and official Ableton Live trainer at the Colombo School of Recording Arts
