Alec Empire released limited edition, special packaged 3 CD set in 2005 called "Japanese Noise Pt.1&2&3". The DJ mix was done with 5 turntables and tape delays. This is Pt.2 of the 3. While Empire does his regular beat driven sets in clubs and at raves, he also continues to explore the extremes. The line blurs between DJing and creating sounds which have to be experienced in their physical nature. Empire has worked with artists like Merzbow, Aube and more. One document is the live recording with Masami Akita at New York's legendary club CBGBs in 1998, where also Anti Pop Consortium appeared on stage.
