Alec Empire DJed a huge drum'n'bass rave in Portugal alongside Bad Company UK and various others, as part of the digital re-release campaign of "Bass Terror", a series of hardcore breakbeat 12 inches which were released in the years 1991-1993. This recording is one hour of a longer set in which Empire spins newer material of artists he currently likes. He also adds his own sounds and loops everywhere in the set, so the tracklist doesn't quite represent the music.

Nice set Alec.. Still remember seeing ATR in London around 98. John Peel thought we were the band 'SuperGrass' sitting with Bjork he said on his show. Bless

I edit, remix, remaster many of the vinyl I buy, so I got that part done before I go into a DJ set. I rarely use the original material without having manipulated it first. I hope this makes it more exciting for people who know the tracks. (I don't thinking mixing two pieces of music together is that special sounding, no matter how one combines the two tracks...) :)

After 25 years of mixing/recording/improvising everything that makes sound,ministry to melek tha,80's to plunderphonics,fieldrecordings to vernon le noir,.whatever,.i produced last year my firstrakever,maybe you have time to hear it and tell me what you think?
its has not become a 3rd world miracle;lol,but its still my firstrakever,to me a breakthru technically actually,..

nasty set indeed and about adding loops & stuff ,. its in fact same as editing your mix after recording it,am i right?
ofcourse there r always different levels in the editing itself,.i dont doubt your editing/mixing/producing skills!
